About Metacognitive Therapy

Metacognitive therapy focuses on changing how you relate to your thoughts — rather than analysing or challenging the content of them.

In therapy, you will learn to:

  • Break unhelpful thought patterns such as worry, rumination and mental checking

  • Strengthen attentional control so you choose which thoughts deserve your focus

  • Reduce prolonged mental distress caused by overthinking (known as the Cognitive Attentional Syndrome)

Clients often experience greater calm, improved sleep, increased resilience and a renewed sense of freedom and agency. Metacognitive therapy helps you regain control — creating space to live the life you want.

About Me

My name is Isabelle, and I am a certified Art Psychotherapist MA, Metacognitive therapist and stress coach with over 12 years of therapeutic experience working with children, adolescents and adults. I have particular expertise in the treatment of anxiety, addiction challenges and neurodivergent issues.

I  trained as a therapist in London, England and have lived in the UK for 16 years, so I am highly experienced in providing therapy in EngIish.
I warmly welcome international clients and expats seeking therapy in Copenhagen.

I recently opened my private practice in Østerbro, Copenhagen, where I offer affordable Metacognitive therapy for young people and adults.
